Therigy CEO and Chief Clinical Officer will give the opening address on Friday, May 13 to the 2016 graduating class of Ohio State University’s College of Pharmacy Latiolais Leadership Program in Columbus, Ohio.
Allinson’s presentation entitled, “Learning to Be an Entrepreneur” will center on opportunities for entrepreneurs in the pharmacy industry and detail his professional experience since graduating with his MS from Ohio State more than 30 years ago.
“I’m honored for the opportunity to share my journey as an entrepreneur with this distinguished group” said Allinson. “The growth of specialty pharmacy over the past 20 years has been stunning and all practice areas are experiencing it. Its mission is to assist health-system pharmacists in developing skills to lead and manage the medication use process to achieve optimal health outcomes. It aims to use leading pharmacy experts from alumni of Ohio State and elsewhere to provide innovative and easily accessible leadership and management programs that address contemporary issues and provide effective strategies for improvement and re-design for the medication use process. The Latiolais Leadership Program promotes Latiolais´ philosophy of "Enthusiasm for Excellence" through advocacy, mentoring, guidance and support of pharmacy leaders. This program offers complementary auxiliary support for emerging pharmacy leaders, especially those following the Ohio State Combined MS/Residency in Health-System Pharmacy Administration path.
