Orlando, Florida - October 2, 2012 - Therigy, LLC, an industry leader providing specialty pharmaceutical consulting, web products and data analytics, will be hosting two inaugural events this month. The Specialty Pharmacy Leadership Congress will be a two day invitation-only gathering of industry leaders followed by the Brighten the Day 5k, a fundraiser for cancer care.
The Congress, which is expected to draw 100-150 leaders, is set to become the annual "think tank" for the specialty pharmacy industry. Attendees are selected based on their senior leadership roles and commitment to participate in collaborative working sessions that support their organization's strategic goals. "Our objective is to help shape the future of the specialty pharmacy industry through a gathering of the industry's most influential leaders", says Russ Allinson CEO of Therigy."
During this event, executives from manufacturer, payor, and pharmacy organizations will discuss ways to find solutions to overcome current challenges, develop frameworks and action plans for improving patient access to specialty therapies, and increasing patient education. Executives from each type of major specialty pharmacy (health plan, PBM, independent, and retail-owned) will be represented in panel discussions.
The Congress concludes with a fundraising event, Therigy's Brighten the Day 5k Run/Walk, which rallies the industry and local community to work towards a common goal in raising funds to fight cancer. Therigy's President and COO, Joe Morse adds, "It has always been important to our organization to support philanthropic causes and lead by example. We are excited to be hosting this 5k and look forward to making it an annual event for the Orlando community."
