Maitland, FL, March 26, 2019 (Newswire.com) - Therigy, the trusted source for specialty pharmacy technology, consulting and outcomes, announced today that the company will present a poster from its recently completed quality initiative: “Improving Quality of Care in Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) Utilizing Hospital-Based Specialty Pharmacies in Monitoring Disease Activity,” at the AMCP Managed Care and Specialty Pharmacy 2019 Annual Meeting being held March 25-28, 2019 in San Diego, California. The presentation will highlight the capabilities of hospital-based specialty pharmacists and software to deliver interventions and document patient-reported disease activity to collaborate with rheumatologists and enhance treatment management.
“We are very proud to announce the results of this peer-reviewed, patient-reported outcomes initiative conducted in collaboration with five leading hospital-based specialty pharmacies,” states, Lily Duong, PharmD, RPh, Chief Clinical Officer, Therigy. “For the first time, multiple health system specialty pharmacies, executing the same protocol via enabling software, have demonstrated the capacity to affect patient engagement, collect validated patient-reported outcomes and collaborate with rheumatologists to support enhanced compliance with American College of Rheumatology care guidelines.”
The Quality Initiative concludes that software supporting pharmacy engagement with rheumatologists is an emerging opportunity in optimizing treatment management for RA patients.
