Systems Administrator

Our ideal candidate possesses strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, in addition to in-depth technical knowledge of Microsoft hardware and software. The Systems Administrator ensures maximum up time, performance, and security of computers to meet the needs of team members, without exceeding the budget. Tasks include upgrading computer software and components, maintain security policies, supporting internal team members.


Role Priorities

  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve system hardware, software, and networking issues
  • Configure, optimize, fine-tune, and monitor operating system software and servers



  • Interface with executive users and technical team members to troubleshoot issues in a timely fashion
  • Maintain report schedule and project list for internal IT
  • Maintain all internal Microsoft, Apple and Lenovo hardware; solid VM experience
  • Assist team members with personal computer, peripherals, phone, and internal applications
  • Identify system and operational issues
  • Keep IT Support informed of system and operational issues
  • Perform routine audit of systems and software
  • Ensure network infrastructure is up and running
  • Keeping all laptops/desktops and tablet devices updated with current service packs and windows updates, patches, and upgrades.
  • Support off-site team members and off-site contractors
  • Analyze system logs to define team member’s needs, identify potential issues, and compile appropriate data
  • Ability to understand system interfaces and organization operations and to work as a team member to identify issues and develop solutions
  • Manage relationships with third-party software vendors
  • Maintain up-to date documentation on all corresponding projects, prioritize daily job functions
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management


Essential Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years of experience working with networks systems and individual user in a Windows environment
  • Solid understanding of all windows operating systems
  • Solid understanding of network printing; configuring, troubleshooting, and adding of printers to the network
  • Ability to use various software programs to support 50+ users in a windows networking environment; active directory and group policy understanding is required
  • Strong systems experience and ability to learn new system structures preferred
  • Ability to manage, setup and train users in Office365 preferred
  • Firm understanding of our internal applications, utilization review and management concepts and finance systems preferred
  • Ability to maintain documentation in format which is easily understood by users preferred
  • Ability to explain reports and data fields and interfaces to users preferred
  • Specialty Pharmacy and/or Healthcare experience a plus; aptitude for acquiring strong industry knowledge
  • Ability to work under pressure, organize and prioritize responsibilities
  • Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and express them in clear language
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Proficient in MS Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Effective communication skills (both written and verbal) with internal and external clients, mid- and upper-level management, and operational personnel

Position Reports to: VP, Operations

ADA:  The position requires being seated in front of a computer and utilizing a keyboard in excess of eight hours per day.  May require lifting in excess of ten (10) pounds.
